Maserati’s GranTurismo S gets Sports pack
The UK arm of luxury car manufacturer Maserati has announced the launch of a new sports pack for one of its bestselling models, viz. the Gran Turismo S Automatic.
The Italian automaker added numerous new features to the top-end sports car to provide it with technical as well as visual enhancements.
The Sport pack added body-coloured front winglets and side skirts, an integrated rear boot lid spoiler, oval exhaust pipes, and a re-designed black grille that features the Maserati Trident logo.
The modified sports car also features Grigio Mercury Neptune design alloy wheels.
The drivetrain has been updated to include the super-fast MC Auto Shift software and an enhanced exhaust system design that keeps the bypass valves completely open in sports mode to offer a richer sound.
The 4.7-litre V8 engine produces 440hp at 7,000 rpm, with peak torque of 490Nm at 4,750rpm. It has a top speed of 183mph, and can sprint from zero to 62mph in just five seconds.
However, the Sports pack does not come for free. It adds £3,840 to the price tag of the GranTurismo S Automatic, pushing the total cost to £92,480. The car is covered by a three-year unlimited mileage warranty.
