Mercedes SLS AMG by MEC Design
Mercedes tuning specialist has released its own take on the Black Series with a set of upgrades for the Gullwing supercar.
Mercedes recently rolled out the SLS AMG Black Series, and it seems MEC Design is the first tuner off the mark with an aftermarket package that attempts to replicate the new model. Based on a standard SLS, the Mercedes tuning specialist has created its very own "Black Series" bodykit, complete with front and rear bumpers, a new side spoiler, a carbon-fiber front splitter and new diffuser. MEC Design also revamped the interior, which has been fully trimmed with carbon fiber and comes complete with exclusive, leather-edged floor mats.
Performance upgrades (though suspiciously non-specific) see output increase from 563 to 631 horsepower - ten horses more than the actual SLS Black Series - and a lowered suspension fitted with a fresh set of alloys. Whether the result looks anything like AMG's own Black Gullwing, the MEC Design kit looks rather menacing in its own right.
